Part-Time Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role offers the flexibility of remote work and requires a commitment of 20-30 hours per week. Based in Bellevue, Washington, this position will involve key financial tasks and reporting responsibilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting operations. This is a fully remote role and is estimated to be 20-30 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

• Perform month-end close activities, including general ledger (GL) work and journal entries.

• Conduct comprehensive bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with bank statements.

• Prepare detailed billing and budgeting reports to support financial planning and analysis.

• Handle grant and compliance management tasks to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.

• Utilize Sage Intacct to maintain precise accounting records and generate financial reports.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to address inquiries and provide financial insights.

• Assist with payroll processing using Rippling or Gusto software.

• Ensure all financial documentation meets audit standards through meticulous record-keeping.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within accounting operations.

• At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting, including AP, AR, and general ledger management. • Proficiency in Sage Intacct and familiarity with payroll systems such as Rippling or Gusto. • Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and journal entry preparation. • Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting. • Ability to manage grant-related compliance and reporting requirements. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills. • Strong written and verbal communication abilities. • Capacity to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
