RTL - Design Verification Engineer

Qualitest is seeking highly skilled RTL / Design Verification Engineers to join our North America team. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Sunnyvale, CA, supporting verification of complex digital ASIC Core/IP designs. You will ensure functional correctness, performance accuracy, and full compliance with specifications through deep, unit-level, and core-level verification.

• Verification Planning:
• Develop comprehensive verification plans derived from micro-architecture and design specifications.
• Environment Development:
• Architect and implement scalable, reusable, and robust SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments.
• Test Development:
• Create and execute constrained-random and directed testcases to achieve high functional and code coverage for core/IP units.
• Debug & Analysis:
• Analyze simulation results, diagnose complex failures, and collaborate closely with RTL designers and micro-architects to root-cause and resolve issues.
• Automation & Scripting:
• Build and maintain automation scripts (Python/Perl) to enhance verification workflows, regression infrastructure, and overall productivity.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on Design Verification experience.
• Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM (mandatory).
• Solid understanding of digital logic design, RTL concepts, and modern verification methodologies.
• Experience in verifying complex digital systems such as:
• Microprocessor cores
• Hierarchical memory subsystems
• Standard IP blocks and interconnect architectures
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and provide technical guidance to RTL design and CPU/IP micro-architecture teams.
• Proficiency with industry-standard EDA simulation, debug, and coverage tools.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Scripting experience in Python and/or Perl.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
