Data Warehouse Analyst
For more than 40 years, Oxford Global Resources has helped organizations solve complex business and technical challenges by connecting them with specialized expertise. We work across industries including technology, life sciences, engineering, and healthcare, providing services that range from individual staffing support to co-managed projects and fully managed programs.
Our work is built on understanding what each organization needs and bringing the right people and approach to the challenge. Behind that work are teams across Oxford who strengthen how we operate, support our people, and help us deliver for clients. If you’re looking for a place where your work connects to a larger purpose and has a visible impact, there’s an opportunity to do that here.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a Data Warehouse Analyst who can keep daily warehouse operations dependable while improving the data structures and processes behind them. You’ll investigate data questions, troubleshoot issues at their source, and contribute to projects that strengthen how Oxford uses its data.
This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable taking ownership of a problem, asking precise questions when a request is unclear, and working closely with colleagues across data, analytics, and the business.
Remote (U.S) | Exempt | Reports to Data Operations Manager
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor and maintain daily warehouse processes so data remains accurate, complete, available, and ready for reporting and analysis.
- Write and optimize T-SQL queries and stored procedures that support data loads, transformations, and business data requests.
- Investigate data discrepancies and performance issues, identify root causes, resolve problems, and document what you learn.
- Develop and enhance warehouse objects, data models, and pipelines in Oxford’s Azure data environment; contribute to testing, validation, and deployment.
- Learn the data ecosystem and the business use cases behind it so you can translate requests into practical, scalable solutions.
- Partner with data, analytics, reporting, and business colleagues on operational requests and larger initiatives, including work related to integrations.
- Maintain clear documentation of data flows, operational procedures, and known issues; identify ways to improve data quality, performance, and maintainability.
What You Bring to the Table:
Required:
- Strong hands-on T-SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure SQL Database together with Azure Data Factory.
- Ability to investigate data issues through structured root cause analysis and explain findings clearly.
- Experience working with data warehouse processes, data transformations, and data models.
- Sound judgment and ownership: you can work independently in an evolving environment, prioritize requests, and know when to bring others in.
- Clear communication with technical and nontechnical partners, including the ability to ask questions that uncover the business need behind a data request.
Preferred:
- Python for analysis, automation, or data workflows.
- Power BI, Power BI Report Builder, or similar reporting tools; exposure to Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience supporting business intelligence, analytics, or reporting teams, and familiarity with data quality or governance practices.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or Claude Code.
What We Bring to the Table:
