Oracle Cloud Benefits Configuration Lead:(Remote w/ Required Travel to Philadelphia, PA)
Optomi, in partnership with one of the world’s largest professional services firms, is seeking a hands-on Oracle Cloud Benefits Configuration Lead to join a high-impact delivery team supporting multiple enterprise Oracle Cloud HCM implementations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to own the Benefits configuration workstream—designing, building, and troubleshooting complex benefits solutions for large-scale clients. You’ll work directly with business and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between requirements, integrations, and system functionality.
About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for leading the Benefits workstream during Oracle Cloud HCM implementations, from design through deployment. This includes hands-on configuration, functional design documentation, and end-to-end testing support. The ideal candidate has recent, in-depth configuration experience within the Benefits module and is comfortable discussing conceptual scenarios in client-facing sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of the Oracle Cloud Benefits configuration lifecycle
- Conduct requirements gathering and design workshops with business stakeholders
- Configure programs, plans, options, eligibility, rates, and Fast Formulas
- Partner with Payroll and Core HR teams to ensure seamless cross-module integration
- Support testing, issue resolution, and Open Enrollment cycles
- Develop and maintain configuration workbooks, functional design docs, and test scripts
- Advise clients on best practices, configuration strategy, and Oracle Cloud capabilities
Must Have Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on Oracle Cloud Benefits configuration (programs, plans, rates, eligibility)
- 1+ full lifecycle implementation of Oracle Cloud HCM (Benefits focus)
- Strong understanding of U.S. benefits processes (medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), COBRA)
- Experience with testing, Open Enrollment, and vendor file integrations
- Excellent communication skills—comfortable explaining configuration concepts to business users
- Bachelor’s degree
- Oracle Cloud certification (Benefits preferred, but other modules accepted)
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Oracle HCM rollouts (30K+ users)
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft Benefits or legacy-to-Cloud transitions
- Broader Oracle HCM module exposure (Payroll, Absence, Time & Labor)
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Advanced Oracle certifications (OCP, etc.)
