Oracle Cloud Benefits Configuration Lead:(Remote w/ Required Travel to Philadelphia, PA)

Optomi, in partnership with one of the world’s largest professional services firms, is seeking a hands-on Oracle Cloud Benefits Configuration Lead to join a high-impact delivery team supporting multiple enterprise Oracle Cloud HCM implementations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to own the Benefits configuration workstream—designing, building, and troubleshooting complex benefits solutions for large-scale clients. You’ll work directly with business and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between requirements, integrations, and system functionality.

About the Role:

You’ll be responsible for leading the Benefits workstream during Oracle Cloud HCM implementations, from design through deployment. This includes hands-on configuration, functional design documentation, and end-to-end testing support. The ideal candidate has recent, in-depth configuration experience within the Benefits module and is comfortable discussing conceptual scenarios in client-facing sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of the Oracle Cloud Benefits configuration lifecycle
  • Conduct requirements gathering and design workshops with business stakeholders
  • Configure programs, plans, options, eligibility, rates, and Fast Formulas
  • Partner with Payroll and Core HR teams to ensure seamless cross-module integration
  • Support testing, issue resolution, and Open Enrollment cycles
  • Develop and maintain configuration workbooks, functional design docs, and test scripts
  • Advise clients on best practices, configuration strategy, and Oracle Cloud capabilities

Must Have Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands-on Oracle Cloud Benefits configuration (programs, plans, rates, eligibility)
  • 1+ full lifecycle implementation of Oracle Cloud HCM (Benefits focus)
  • Strong understanding of U.S. benefits processes (medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), COBRA)
  • Experience with testing, Open Enrollment, and vendor file integrations
  • Excellent communication skills—comfortable explaining configuration concepts to business users
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Oracle Cloud certification (Benefits preferred, but other modules accepted)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale Oracle HCM rollouts (30K+ users)
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Benefits or legacy-to-Cloud transitions
  • Broader Oracle HCM module exposure (Payroll, Absence, Time & Labor)
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Advanced Oracle certifications (OCP, etc.)
