About The Company

Jobot is presenting this opportunity on behalf of a well-funded, growing startup focused on improving payment processing operations. The company provides a platform that connects lenders, builders, and skilled trades in one place. By bringing key participants and processes together, the platform aims to reduce operational friction, lower risk, improve project execution, and help ensure approved work is paid promptly. The team is working to address persistent challenges in a complex industry and build solutions with the potential to make a meaningful difference. This is an opportunity to join an expanding organization at an early stage and contribute to products that support the people and businesses involved in construction projects.

About The Role

The company is seeking a Software Engineer to build and maintain full-stack applications spanning user interfaces, backend services, and cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with engineers, quality assurance professionals, designers, and product stakeholders to develop reliable, scalable solutions. The role offers broad technical ownership, from translating product designs into responsive experiences to supporting deployments and investigating application performance. This is a remote position, with the expectation that you can work within Central U.S. time zone business hours. The anticipated salary range is $95,000 to $100,000 per year. The opportunity may also include immediate equity, subject to the company’s applicable plans and terms.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, and at least three years of full-stack software development experience. You should be comfortable developing with .NET and C#, building REST APIs, and working with JSON. Experience with cloud environments such as AWS and Microsoft Azure, including services such as Amazon S3, is important. A solid understanding of SQL or PostgreSQL database design and optimization is also expected. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, source control, and continuous integration and deployment practices will help you contribute effectively. The ideal candidate has experience working in an Agile environment, communicates clearly, collaborates across disciplines, and takes a thoughtful approach to code quality and troubleshooting.

Experience with Docker or Kubernetes is a plus. Familiarity with mobile application deployment to the Apple App Store or Google Play is also welcome, though not required.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will build, enhance, and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET and C#. You will deploy and manage applications across AWS and Azure environments, helping ensure that cloud-based systems remain dependable and scalable. You will design, maintain, and optimize SQL and PostgreSQL databases to support application functionality and performance. Working with designers and product partners, you will translate Figma designs into responsive, user-friendly applications. You will participate in code reviews and architecture planning, contribute to technical decisions, and use Azure DevOps for source control and CI/CD workflows. You will also support test automation, investigate and resolve defects, and troubleshoot performance issues. Throughout the development lifecycle, you will coordinate with engineering, QA, design, and product colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with user and business needs.

Benefits

This position offers a salary range of $95,000 to $100,000 per year and the potential to receive equity in a well-funded, growing startup. You will have the chance to contribute across the full stack, work closely with a cross-functional team, and help shape products and engineering practices as the organization grows. The role is remote, with work schedules aligned to the Central U.S. time zone. Specific benefits and equity terms will be shared during the hiring process.
