Job Summary
We are establishing an in-house Project Management Office (PMO) and seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead this function. This individual will be responsible for creating and managing PMO processes, ensuring project governance, and delivering clear communication and reporting to leadership. As a single-person PMO, the role requires someone who can operate independently, set structure, and partner effectively across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
PMO Establishment and Governance
- Define and implement lightweight PMO processes, templates, and standards.
- Build and maintain project portfolio dashboards, reports, and governance frameworks.
- Introduce best practices for risk, issue, and dependency management.
Project Delivery Oversight
- Provide project planning, execution tracking, and delivery support across multiple initiatives.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Monitor progress and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
Leadership and Communication
- Serve as the central point of contact for project and portfolio status.
- Facilitate steering committee updates and stakeholder communications.
- Ensure consistent alignment between project activities and strategic objectives.
Tools and Reporting
- Own project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Sharepoint, or equivalent).
- Deliver accurate, timely, and actionable reports for executives.
What you bring
- 8–10+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or program management role.
- Proven experience setting up or leading PMO functions.
- Proven experience leading projects in SaaS environments or related fields.
- Strong background in project governance, portfolio reporting, and stakeholder management.
- Expertise with project management tools and reporting systems.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Self-starter who thrives in a single-person PMO environment.
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Highly adaptable, with the ability to create order in ambiguous or evolving situations.

Physical and Work Requirements
This is largely a sedentary role, with most of the duties performed on a computer or phone. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
