Business Analyst (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft. Summary This position offers a unique opportunity to provide critical business management support for two large engineering organizations focused on developing cutting-edge developer tools for artificial intelligence. Working with a combined team of approximately 2,500 members worldwide, you will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, managing end-to-end headcount operations and delivering data-driven insights that directly impact organizational effectiveness. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with exceptional analytical capabilities who can independently manage complex processes while maintaining accuracy and meeting tight deadlines. You will be responsible for overseeing comprehensive headcount management, creating and maintaining sophisticated dashboards, conducting hierarchy assessments, and supporting various strategic initiatives that ensure optimal resource allocation and hiring excellence across these innovative teams. Job Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end headcount operations for two large organizations with approximately 2,500 employees worldwide
- Conduct data analysis and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making for engineering leadership
- Create, maintain, and enhance dashboards for tracking organizational metrics and key performance indicators
- Perform hierarchy assessments and implement corrections to ensure organizational structure accuracy
- Execute position count number cleanup and reconciliation activities
- Support industry hiring projects by partnering with hiring managers to implement best practices and ensure quality hiring outcomes
- Deliver ad hoc project work to support the business management office for both organizations
- Monitor and ensure data accuracy across all headcount management systems and reporting
- Develop new reporting capabilities to meet evolving organizational needs
- Partner directly with directors to provide comprehensive business management support
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience with headcount management
- Minimum 5 years of experience with data analysis and reporting using Excel and PowerBI
- Minimum 5 years of experience with strong knowledge of SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Previous experience with Oracle headcount management systems highly preferred
- 5-7 years overall experience in business operations or business analysis
- Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting, or a related analytical field required
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting using Excel and PowerBI
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint for collaboration and information management
- Expert-level PowerPoint skills for creating executive presentations
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong execution excellence
- Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze business trends and provide strategic recommendations
- Strategic planning and resource allocation capabilities

Additional Details
- Location: Remote
- Duration: 4 months
- Pay Range*: $35 - $39.50 per hour
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
- Job Status: Non-Exempt
