Title: Project Manager – Security Infrastructure Modernization
Location: Fully remote - client is a utilities company based in Dayton, OH. May involve some travel on occasion!
Pay Rate: $50-80/hr DOE
Duration: 1–3-year contract with potential conversion permanent
- W2 contract
- x1.5 for any overtime worked
- Eligible for benefits during contract period
Overview:
Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, reporting, and deployment of a multi-year security infrastructure modernization program across critical utility facilities.
This role will oversee projects involving:
- Access control systems
- Video surveillance systems
- Perimeter intrusion detection systems
- Supporting communications infrastructure
- Other physical security upgrades
The Project Manager will coordinate internal stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and implementation partners while managing schedules, budgets, risks, and project governance. The ideal candidate has strong project management experience and a proven track record delivering large infrastructure projects in operational or industrial environments.
Key Highlights and day to day:
- Lead security infrastructure projects from planning through deployment.
- Manage schedules, budgets, risks, and project reporting.
- Coordinate vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide status updates and recommendations to leadership.
- Support testing, commissioning, and site deployments.
- Ensure successful project delivery across multiple utility facilities.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of project management experience overseeing projects similar to access control, CCTVs, intrusion detection, etc.
- Experience managing utility, infrastructure, industrial, telecommunications, construction, operational technology, or physical security projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing vendors and contractors.
- Experience with project scheduling, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Experience managing multi-site deployment programs.
