This position may be filled remotely, or in any of our locations. The Application Support Engineer will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day technical support of the firm's financial and administrative systems, which includes troubleshooting and issue resolution for internal clients, such as attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, accounting, HR, recruiting, as well as external clients. The Application Support Engineer will also be responsible for researching solutions to a variety of complex issues and making enhancement requests. Essential functions include:

  • Troubleshoots incoming 3E, 3E Workspace, Paperless Proforma, Intapp Time, Intapp Open, Intapp Terms, Intapp Integration Builder, and ancillary application issues.
  • Becomes subject matter expert on legal, financial, and administrative databases.
  • Schedules and performs systems operations, upgrades, maintenance and modifications.
  • Maintains and prioritizes issue logs and manages each ticket until a satisfactory resolution is found.
  • Opens tickets and works with vendor support as needed to resolve issues.
  • Works with team members to determine automation solutions to repeated issues.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all applications, in-house enhancements, and updates documentation.
  • Has a clear understanding of the integrations and dependencies between systems.
  • Ensures that issue/ticket resolutions are meeting acceptable service levels to maintain superior service experience for end users.
  • Makes recommendations on modifications, enhancements, replacements and improvements to the firm's applications.
  • Coordinates with other IT personnel on issues related to deployment of the financial and administrative applications.
  • Prepares basic visualizations (Excel reports, dashboards, or other formats) for non-technical stakeholders as requested.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in MS SQL Server.
  • Experience with Elite 3E or Intapp products required.
  • Experience working with databases and data warehouses.
  • Experience with Azure preferred.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and finance preferred.
  • Familiarity with law firm operations and legal processes preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to define and communicate desired outcomes clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective collaboration with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Customer service orientation with a commitment to high standards.

The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows: State of California: $86,000 - $175,000 State of Colorado: $79,000 - $141,000 State of Illinois: $78,000 - $151,000 State of Massachusetts: $86,000 - $164,000 State of Maryland: $83,000 - $126,000 State of Minnesota: $86,000 - $142,000 Jersey City, NJ: $93,000 - $169,000 State of New York: $80,000 - $173,000 State of Vermont: $85,000 - $163,000 State of Washington: $83,000 - $158,000 Washington, D.C.: $111,000 - $163,000 The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
