Responsibilities

  • Build a working knowledge of program data models, reports, and business requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement practices of team procedures for state support
  • Develop basic understanding and use of relevant project tools including business intelligence, cloud service consoles, databases, and SQL queries as needed
  • Translate stakeholder needs into well-defined solutions including reports or dashboards
  • Collaborate with team to analyze Medicaid and CHIP data and metrics to determine causes and solutions for data quality issues; document all relevant findings and share learnings with team
  • Communicate complex data issues and recommendations to technical and non-technical audience, both verbally and in writing
  • Assist more experienced database analysts/programmer in the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases, collection of data elements, and preparation of database specifications.
  • Help to develop, maintain, and control the data dictionary
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure projects are on schedule
  • Provide administrative and logistical support including meeting arrangement, progress tracking, and documentation

RequirementsRequired Qualifications:

  • All candidates must pass public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government. This requires candidates to either be U.S. citizens or pass clearance through the Foreign National Government System which will require that candidates have lived within the United States for at least 3 out of the previous 5 years, have a valid and non-expired passport from their country of birth and appropriate VISA/work permit documentation.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other technical or social science.
  • In lieu of a degree, four years of general information technology experience and at least two years of specialized experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience
  • Experience analysing and visualizing data
  • Exceptional ability to take initiative and ownership of issues and projects
  • Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
  • Resourceful, curious, and analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and balance concurrent deadlines
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; residing in the United States

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with project management software, status reporting, scheduling, management, implementation, and administration
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence
  • Experience with Agile and particularly SAFe methodology
  • Experience working with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) or healthcare industry
  • Experience with data visualization and tools, including creating and maintaining dashboards
  • Experience with data management systems and analysis or statistical tools
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions
  • Experience identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements

Working Environment eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager. Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5% per year.
