Job Title: ServiceNow IRM Engineer Location: US – Remote Duration: Contract Job Description: We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow IRM Engineer to join the dynamic and growing GRCT organization at American Express. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable and optimal solutions across the Compliance & Risk domains, configuring the ServiceNow platform, and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to deliver business-aligned, high-quality solutions. The candidate should possess deep technical expertise in ServiceNow, IRM (Integrated Risk Management), and modern programming frameworks such as JavaScript, Angular, and RESTful APIs, along with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies. Key Skills: ServiceNow IRM | JavaScript | AngularJS | REST API | XML | Java | GRC | CMDB | Agile | GCP | API Integrations | ServiceNow Administration Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable solutions within the ServiceNow IRM/Compliance & Risk Management modules.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow components, including workflows, UI policies, ACLs, integrations, and CMDB.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, and Architects to ensure high-quality design and delivery.
- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle – from requirements gathering and design to testing, implementation, and documentation.
- Conduct regular code and implementation reviews, ensuring adherence to performance and security standards.
- Estimate design, build, test, and implementation efforts for assigned tasks.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members on coding best practices and ServiceNow configuration standards.
- Participate in unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, aligning with broader testing strategies.
- Deliver consultation and recommendations to Product Owners for technical and strategic success.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and architectural direction, including evaluations of new tools and technologies.
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and utilize tools such as Rally.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years of overall software development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including Integrated Risk Management (IRM) components.
- Strong technical expertise in:
- JavaScript, AngularJS, API (RESTful), XML, Java, and Jelly scripting.
- Experience with ServiceNow configurations, workflows, ACLs, UI policies, and integrations.
- Solid understanding of GRC/IRM domain trends and best practices.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex solutions to both technical and executive audiences.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- Hands-on experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience in developing and executing JavaScript utilities.
- Knowledge of conceptual architecture and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Exposure to Machine Learning or Generative AI concepts (a plus, not mandatory).
