Position Summary As a Senior Manager in the Regulatory Affairs space, you will have the opportunity to help shape and drive regulatory-related projects and initiatives in support of our clients. You will be client-facing, and work with internal and external stakeholders to provide regulatory consultative services regarding new or updated Federal/state guidance, aid in discussions of known deficiencies, identify potential risks, and lead the drafting of regulatory communications for clients. You will support regulatory activities for Medicaid, Exchange, and Commercial lines of business to ensure compliance with state and federal mandates which impact CVS Caremark or the clients we support. Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing dedicated Medicaid, Exchange, and Commercial regulatory guidance and implementation support to Carelon. Having discussions with the client to explain our assessment and solution of the requirements.
- Supporting regulatory activities for Medicaid, Exchange and Commercial lines of business, which includes review of model contracts.
- Collaborating with business teams to draft best-in-class client communications on regulatory implementations to help drive a more positive health plan customer experience.
- Identifying potential regulatory risks and working with business partners to solve issues with a broad Government Programs perspective to propose innovative solutions.
- Advocating for the Client to our internal partners, and for CVS Caremark to the Client.
- Interacting with internal Client Advisors and Sales Executives to address new and existing business solutions.
- Support Internal and External stakeholder meetings and inquiries, including hosting weekly client alignment discussions.
- Monitoring daily regulatory mandate analyses to ensure regular compliance; and
- Supporting the internal Regulatory Affairs activities and agenda.
Your success will be dependent on your ability to interpret and communicate our regulatory position in a professional, yet comprehensible manner, and to act consultatively regarding regulatory requirement implementation. This role requires a high degree of adaptability and flexibility, and a strong dedication to the overall team. You will need to be a strong self-starter, be proactive, and able to make logical leaps with limited direction from management. To be a candidate for this role, you will possess the following:
- Comfort with a high level of ambiguity, the ability to work autonomously, and strong critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple priorities across a large number of clients and projects.
- This role is remote and can be located anywhere in the US.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of health plan, PBM, and/or regulatory experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with multiple internal and external stakeholders, driving the understanding and implementation oversight of initiatives.
- At least 2 years of experience responding to inquiries and drafting communications to a variety of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfort with both internal and client-facing environments.
- High level of emotional intelligence.
Education
- Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Pay RangeThe Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $67,900.00 - $199,144.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
