Gifted Math Coach - Part-Time, gt.school (Remote) - $37,500/year USD

You will facilitate live virtual sessions that challenge exceptional students, provide targeted preparation for competitions such as AMC and AIME, and develop scalable resources that elevate standards across GT Anywhere and GT campus locations. • Develop and facilitate 2–4 live virtual domain sessions weekly that cultivate competition-standard mathematical reasoning
• Provide 1:1 or small-group coaching for particular competitions through mock assessments, timed exercises, and thorough analysis
• Identify weaknesses quickly and build individualized development plans aligned with each student's objectives and competition calendar
• Monitor advancement using a structured mathematics development framework and modify teaching methods based on performance data
• Produce original, challenging problem collections and modular instructional materials designed for reuse by other educators at scale

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Provide generic assignment assistance or grade-focused tutoring lacking defined, quantifiable results
• Conduct conventional classroom-format lessons that conclude at standard curriculum boundaries
• Offer unstructured problem sessions without defined goals, feedback mechanisms, or competition preparation pathways
• Rely on duplicated or insufficiently rigorous resources that fail to satisfy competitive mathematics standards

Gifted Math Coach Key Responsibilities This position ensures gifted students consistently reach quantifiable, competition-level mathematical outcomes that GT School can recognize and families can rely upon. Basic Requirements

• Documented elite mathematics accomplishment (e.g., Olympiad medal, AIME qualification, top national ranking, or comparable verifiable record)
• Minimum 6 months of instruction, coaching, or mentorship experience with demonstrable results
• Capacity to present advanced mathematics in clear, accessible terms to gifted young students
• Comprehensive knowledge of mathematics competition structures, content areas, and preparation methods (e.g., AMC, AIME, Olympiads)
• Effective virtual instruction presence and capability to maintain student engagement via video
• Availability for 5–10 hours weekly
• Dependable internet connection and professional video equipment

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Current, ongoing participation as a competitor, coach, or creator of competition-oriented mathematics content
• Background developing reusable instructional libraries, problem collections, or curricula for use by other educators
• Documented student achievements including qualifications, rankings, medals, or other publicly recognized competition results
