College Recruiter (Remote) - $75,000/year USD
Job Description
Posted on: November 26, 2025
This recruiting role is not conventional. Crossover seeks a college recruiter tasked with identifying and securing the next 50 Alpha AI Engineer Interns: exceptional undergraduates from Stanford and MIT, prepared to dedicate their summer to building with generative AI. Your mission? Assemble that cohort. Quickly. You will own the full recruiting cycle: relationship cultivation, event coordination, large-scale outreach, and candidate conversion. You must operate with the agility of a startup founder, the instinct of a talent scout, and the discipline of a sales executive. This is not a role centered on prestige receptions or promotional giveaways. It is about measurable outcomes: 50 students, summer 2026, Austin, TX. You will be given complete autonomy — budget authority, clear objectives, full support — and direct accountability. This position suits someone energized by ambitious targets, committed to ownership, and skilled in sourcing and closing elite computer science talent. Compensation And Structure
- $75,000 annually + comprehensive travel expenses
- Full-time position with standard benefits
- US-based (requiring frequent travel to MIT and Stanford)
You May Be The Right Fit If You
- Generate enthusiasm that attracts attention — and motivates students to engage
- Approach event planning as tactical execution and enjoy precision in delivery
- Remain composed when timelines compress and priorities pivot unexpectedly
- Excel at leading conversations, managing pipelines, and hitting demanding targets
- Appreciate the rhythm of campus recruiting and converting curiosity into commitment
- Thrive in mobile environments — travel-ready, fully scheduled, consistently proactive
If you graduated from Stanford or MIT — or understand how to succeed on those campuses — this represents the most impactful recruiting opportunity available. What You Will Be Doing
- Developing and operating a high-yield recruitment funnel for Stanford and MIT CS/ML students, spanning first contact through offer acceptance
- Managing all operational aspects of on-campus recruiting activities — including venue booking, catering arrangements, and promotional material production
- Making regular trips to MIT and Stanford to facilitate live presentations, information sessions, and direct student and faculty engagement
- Executing a data-driven recruiting campaign: tracking outreach volume, event turnout, assessment progression, and final enrollment rates
- Serving as the primary campus representative for the Alpha AI Engineer internship — accessible, prepared, and authoritative
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Depending on marketing or HR departments to generate candidate interest — you control the full process from start to finish
- Making occasional campus visits or conducting passive recruiting — this demands sustained, intensive engagement each week
- Delegating execution to support staff — you will secure venues, coordinate shipments, and arrange catering yourself
- Maintaining standard office hours — student availability dictates your schedule: evenings, weekends, exam periods
College Recruiter Key Responsibilities Recruit and secure a complete, top-tier Alpha AI Engineer internship cohort (50+ accepted offers) from Stanford and MIT by May 2026 through targeted outreach, campus events, and rigorous application funnel oversight. Basic Requirements
- 1+ years in college recruiting, admissions work, or event-driven outreach roles
- Documented track record in high-volume outreach and student activation
- Established capability to coordinate complex event logistics without supervision
- Strong communicator, meticulously organized, independently motivated
- US-based with flexibility to travel regularly to Stanford and MIT
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Degree from Stanford or MIT
- Prior recruiting experience in CS/ML or other technical talent pipelines
- Professional history in sales, campaign management, or startup operations
