M&A Tax Director (SALT expert) - 100% Remote Opportunity - $175,000 to $250,000 (Base)

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic M&A Tax Director to join their growing practice on a fully remote basis. This leadership role focuses on advising clients through the full lifecycle of mergers and acquisitions, with an emphasis on multi-state tax planning, due diligence, and structuring.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a wide range of tax matters related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings
• Lead due diligence and tax structuring engagements with a focus on state and local income and sales tax implications
• Collaborate with client finance and accounting teams, legal counsel, and external advisors
• Conduct and review technical tax research and provide actionable insights

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of progressive experience in tax, with a strong generalist background and significant exposure to M&A and SALT
• Demonstrated expertise in multi-state tax issues across various industries
