Remote 1099 Sales Position - 100% Commission-Based

Breakthrough Genomics (BTG) is seeking motivated, well-connected 1099 sales professionals to promote and sell our Virtual Geneticist™, our industry-leading AI-powered interpretation platform for genetic testing interpretation. This is a high-impact, commission-only opportunity ideal for independent sales reps, consultants, or boutique rep groups with experience selling into clinical labs, health systems, or genetic testing programs.

About the Product

Virtual Geneticist™ helps diagnostic labs and healthcare providers streamline and scale genetic test interpretation. Our software uses AI and automation to reduce turnaround time, improve consistency, and expand access to expert-level clinical genomics. Recognized by independent third parties for its accuracy, speed, and cost-effectiveness, Virtual Geneticist™ is a best-in-class solution for modern genetic testing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business with clinical laboratories, genetic testing providers, health systems, CROs and research organizations.

• Position Virtual Geneticist™ for:

1. Labs looking to scale genetic test volume or interpretation capabilities
2. Clinics seeking faster, standardized reporting
3. Researchers needing robust annotation pipelines
4. Organizations building or optimizing genetic testing services

• Manage the sales cycle from lead generation through deal closure (with BTG support)

• Record activity and status updates using BTG-provided tools

• Collaborate with BTG's internal team for demos, technical questions, and contracting

Qualifications

• Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, healthcare IT, or SaaS/database sales

• Proven ability to source and close deals in B2B or B2B2C healthcare environments

• Knowledge of genetics, genomics, NGS workflows, or clinical lab operations a plus

• Comfortable working independently, managing your own time, and coordinating with a lean, fast-moving team

Commission & Structure

• This is a 1099 contractor role (not an employee position)

• Commission-based compensation with generous rates

• Sales support, marketing collateral, training, and onboarding provided

Territory

• Flexible / open territories – leverage your existing network

• BTG will deconflict accounts allowing for client-rep exclusivity
