Electrical Engineering
Job Description
Posted on: June 24, 2026
Electrical Engineering — AI Data TrainerAbout The Role What if your deep knowledge of electrical engineering could directly shape how the world's most advanced AI systems reason through technical problems? At Alignerr, we partner with leading AI research labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to challenge, test, and refine AI reasoning across complex engineering domains — from circuit analysis to power systems to signal processing. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your expertise becomes the benchmark for AI excellence.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, electromagnetics, signal processing, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop precise, step-by-step technical solutions and "golden responses" that serve as the learning benchmark for AI models
- Audit Technical Accuracy — Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, and others)
- Improve AI Reasoning — Identify flawed logic in AI-generated engineering responses and provide structured, expert feedback to refine the model's technical thinking
Who You Are
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
- Deep domain knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or embedded systems
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing
- Highly precise — you catch errors in mathematical derivations, circuit logic, and technical documentation that others miss
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, technical evaluation, or quality assurance workflows
- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, LabVIEW, etc.)
- Background spanning multiple EE subfields
Why Join Us
- Work on some of the most intellectually stimulating problems in AI development
- Fully remote and asynchronous — work on your own schedule, from anywhere
- Freelance flexibility: choose your hours, scale your commitment up or down
- Collaborate with a global network of technical experts and researchers
- Directly influence how next-generation AI models reason about engineering
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
