Job Title: Project SpecialistJob Description As a Project Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in design planning and approval, coordinating with vendors and other stakeholder groups, ensuring quality assurance, and harmonizing customer experiences. You will manage individual project budgets of up to $2 million and lead the deployment, implementation, and launch of delivery stations and tactical programs. In 2022, the team will deliver over 1000 unique projects aimed at improving safety, recognizing cost savings, and increasing capacity. Responsibilities

  • Drive customer obsession through all activities and teams.
  • Earn trust with operations customers through clear and timely communication, feedback gathering, and driving action items to completion.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of everything within your grasp or scope of influence.
  • Assess, escalate, and eliminate project risks to deliver projects safely, on-time, under budget, and within design standards.
  • Follow project-specific action plans, maintaining and ensuring the quality of all project tasks.
  • Identify and escalate opportunities for new standard work and mechanisms to close gaps where guidance in action plans is unclear or incomplete.
  • Deploy for days and up to several weeks to various geographies within North America to launch innovative delivery solutions.
  • Create and implement improvements to the transportation network, delivering flexible and efficient products for customers.
  • Manage on-site deployment of third-party logistics vendors, overseeing daily workflow, budgets, inventory control, and quality assurance for equipment deployment.
  • Lead meetings, including senior leaders from up to 30 cross-functional teams.
  • Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read site plans.
  • PMP certification.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Kaizen PM methodologies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in project management, vendor management, project coordination, and construction.
  • Experience as a Project Specialist, Project Assistant, or Project Administrator.

Work Environment This role requires 70-80% travel, with deployments lasting from days to several weeks across various North American geographies. Travel will be regionally based (west, central, east) and candidates can reside anywhere within reasonable commute to a major airport. Typically, travel to project sites occurs on Monday with return on Friday. Travel arrangements can be self-booked and expensed, or booked by the company. Generally, total hours worked, including travel, are close to 40 hours per week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, Washington. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
