Job Description Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects or programs, this role requires overseeing all aspects from setting deadlines to assigning responsibilities and monitoring progress. The role involves preparing reports for upper management on the status of projects or programs. A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field or a related area are required. Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field is essential. The role demands extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, leading and directing the work of others. A high degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This position typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete projects/programs effectively.
- Oversee deployment of automation projects, network optimization projects, and process engineering initiatives.
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
- Prepare and present reports to upper management regarding project/program status.
- Lead and direct the work of others, utilizing a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
- Hold vendors accountable and manage vendor relationships efficiently.
- Identify gaps in standards and implement improvements.
- Ensure proper installation and focus on automation and material handling equipment (MHE).
- Collaborate with other teams to work on operational warehouse projects.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- At least 7 years of experience in the field or related area.
- 3-5 years of experience in engineering and project management.
- Proficiency in program and project management.
- Vendor management and communication with third-party vendors.
- Experience in automation, MHE, and material handling.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- PMP certification.
- Ability to handle interpersonal conflicts.
- Quick learning capability.
Work Environment This role requires 100% travel to work site locations, leaving home on Monday and returning on Friday, both locally and across the country. The work involves collaborating with regional teams to complete multiple automation installation projects. It demands extensive project management, technology utilization, and effective communication skills. The environment includes working in operational warehouses and requires heavy tracking and management of projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
