Our client, an established avionics innovator seeks a Director, Military Avionics Sales. This is a Remote role with 50% travel.

In this high-impact leadership role, you'll shape the sales strategy, own revenue targets, coach the sales team, and engage key OEMs and defense customers directly.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute strategy to expand customer base and drive accelerated growth.
  • Create and implement expansion plans for existing accounts while pursuing new growth opportunities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop sales team while remaining hands-on with major pursuits and strategic accounts.
  • Oversee opportunity strategy from lead to close, including proposals, internal approvals, CRM discipline, and forecast accuracy.
  • Build strong senior-level customer relationships and feed structured market and competitive insight back into product and portfolio planning.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership, product, and marketing on portfolio focus, events/tradeshows, and overall go‑to‑market strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, with excellent executive communication, financial acumen, and negotiation skills.
  • Background in military/defense in avionics sales/business development
  • Experience building strong relationships.
  • Track record of building and leading sales teams to achieve ambitious revenue and growth goals.
  • Solid understanding of complex deal structures, government contracting, and international trade considerations.
  • Technically fluent, having worked closely with advanced avionics and electronic platforms.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to ~50%).
  • Ability to meet ITAR requirements.
